the luminaria are created using wildflower & grasses collected and preserved by the artist. I use an original process of adhesive, colorful oriental tissue and glass that creates a transparency to enable the warm glow.
The process "seals" the Wild Flowers and protects them. The Vessels are very reusable and gently washable.

Sustainable Practices
I believe in protecting the environment and minimizing our impact on the planet. That's why I use eco-friendly packaging and strive to source my flowers, grasses and leaves from sustainable farms and use proper ministration when / if wild crafting. I also recycle all of our waste and up cycle whenever possible to reduce our carbon footprint.
My Unique Natural Designs
With Alpine luminary, I explore the Nature of Nature - Every vessel is unique and different. Much like a leaf or a snowflake, each vessel has their own personality.
Unlike most preserved pressed flower Art - these are not "under" glass, you can see and feel the texture.
Tips for caring for your Luminary
In order to keep your Luminary in the best condition, place your luminary away from direct sunlight and avoid placing it near bright lights. Over time your piece will collect dust, it's inevitable. if your piece is on glass, it can be gently washed with water. Do not soak or scrub the outside, if it becomes opaque just set to out - do not disturb until dry.

I was raised in a diverse family of illustrators, painters, & naturalists. Creativity was rampant and encouraged at an early age. I would paint n color, but I spent most my time outside.

I moved to Colorado in 2000 and became enchantd with our outdoors. I met artist Karen Nelson who shared her protocol of preserving pressed flowers, and was invited to make my own creations . It brought such joy, and now I share that joy with my customers.
